F1-50 crash cushion
The F1-50 Road Airbag is a non-rebounding vehicle restraint system for protecting tunnel portals and tunnel recesses. It is made of permanently elastic material and contains three air chambers. In the event of a collision, the air chambers are compressed. The air flows through throttle valves between the air chambers and escapes through release valves. This effectively absorbs the impact energy and minimises the rebound.
